Can u help me with this math problem?
i know this is pretty different, but it is how i do it. since there is 50 cents at the end of how much she spent, then you either had to buy 2 or 6 vases. so 2*4.25 is $8.50 and 6*4.25 is $25.50. then you take both of the answers you just got and how many candles you would need to buy. so lets start with $8.50. how many candles can you put into $8.50? so you take fiddle around with the three dollars and so if you bought 2 bases, and up to 7 candles, but she would still have $2 dollars left and since the problem doesn't say anything about change. so she had to have bought 6 candles. then she would have have to have bought 2 candles because 6+2=8. and since 2 candles * $3 is $6 and $6+$25.50=$31.50, then thats your answer. 2 candles and 6 vases. Hope that helped. :)
