a friend told me that if you're sober and see a car about to hit you you try to swerve out of the way and get hit at an angle but the drunk people have slow reaction times so they just plow head on into other cars or pedestrians which creates less damage to their cars than hitting someone/something from the side so they're more likely to survive, it makes sense, but is there statistical data to back up this statement?
