Need help understanding Blood pressure test results?
A blood pressure of 109/064 mm Hg is quite normal. A heart rate of 50 beats per minute is at the lower end of normal but that is quite OK. Many people believe that the normal resting heart rate is 60 to 100 beats per minute. After more than 200 studies of 24 hour ambulatory blood pressure and pulse had been published it had become clear that the normal resting heart rate is actually 50 to 90 beats per minute. Being at the lower end is thought to be a good thing. You have nothing to worry about. If I may be of further istance please let me know. I wish you the very best of health and happiness and in all things may God bless. JR
