Why cant the NHL get plugged like it should!? Its an amazing sport but no love, why?

Over 60% of people chose the gold medal game more exciting than the superbowl! Im not saying that... but it deserves way more props/plugs and tv time! I mean if ESPN plugs arena football then boom, its selling ps3 games and getting airtime why cant the NHL get rebuilt! Its a fast, energetic, physical sport that allows its players to throw-down..I just dont get why its suffering so much?
